Exciting day here at Tierra Seca. The APLD International Design Conference is stopping by our garden in Kensington viewing both the front and back yard. Lots of OMG’s so far. The owner does some explaining about how it all came about.

Things are getting really busy around here with projects all over the Bay Area. New work coming in Marin County, San Mateo, and the East Bay. Interesting microclimates to play around with.

This just in: brand new photos of our project in Orinda. A garden filled with Zauschneria, Idaho Fescue grass, three olive trees, lavender, manzanita, and a custom lamp post as the centerpiece. View more

Zauschneria cana attracts hummingbirds like crazy! Late summer/fall bloom is timed to match their southward migration. Easy to grow and one of the most rewarding flowers to have in your garden, especially if you like hummingbirds!

Coming up: APLD International Design Conference will feature our pair of gardens in Kensington in the East Bay garden tour. We’re quite honored to be part of this tour. The Academy of Sciences, Flora Grub, Cornerstone Sonoma and a Topher Delaney garden will all be part of the show. September 20 is the day we’ll show ours.
